A totting up ban is where 12 or more penalty points are accumulated on a person’s driving licence within a 3-year period. This 3-year period goes from the offence dates, not the date of conviction or sentence.
Should you accumulate 12 or more penalty points this means you will be disqualified from driving for a minimum of 6 months.
